(We’ve put in a lot of get the job done in the property, also!)

This job is in our basement rest room, which we have been performing on for awhile now. The very last point we showed you was introducing the cement board close to the rest room for the new tile.

Just before we get also a great deal extra into the rest room remodel, it was a good time to switch the aged aluminum window with a new double pane vinyl window. The aged window was installed in the 50’s and is not incredibly electrical power productive.

What is the cost to switch an aged window?

$one hundred twenty for the new vinyl Jeldwen window and DAP supplies to make it temperature limited.

How a great deal time does it just take?

It took us about 3 hours from start out to finish including

  • eradicating the aged aluminum window
  • cleaning the window house
  • setting up the new window
  • caulking to make the window temperature limited

How to measure the for the new window

Evaluate the peak and huge on the exterior and subtract one/4″ to an one/2″.  That will give you the closing dimensions of the window.

For this new rest room window, I purchased a vinyl window without the need of fins on the sides because I was introducing wooden trim close to it.  It took about a 7 days or extra to decide on up the window, because it was a tailor made order.
